Maps in Splitgate: Arena Reloaded define the arenas where all Game Modes take place. Each map is tailored to a specific format, supporting different player counts, pacing, and gameplay styles. While many maps are shared across modes, some are exclusive to certain formats or playlists.
Gameplay
Maps in Splitgate: Arena Reloaded are designed around three core competitive formats, each built for different player counts and match styles:
- Arena maps are compact and competitive, designed for 8 players. These environments emphasize movement, portal control, and quick reflexes, forming the backbone of classic Splitgate gameplay.
- Onslaught maps are expansive battlegrounds designed for 24-player Onslaught matches. Each map features multiple POIs (Points of Interest), creating natural hotspots for combat and objective play. These maps are significantly larger than Arena maps, at about 20 times the size.[1]
- Battle Royale maps consist of five distinct Onslaught maps linked together via World Portals. While matches take place across a shared session, each zone remains a separate map with its own geometry and layout. Currently, only Split Worlds exists as a Battle Royale map.
In custom lobbies, players can mix and match most maps and modes. However, Battle Royale maps are locked to their mode and cannot be selected in custom games.
