Weapons
Weapons in Splitgate: Arena Reloaded are a player’s main source of damage. Each player equips a Primary and Secondary weapon, chosen from distinct classes like rifles, shotguns, SMGs, and pistols. There are five primary and three secondary weapon types.
Weapons have variations in visual design, handling, and stats.
Weapons can be customized through Attachments, which are unlocked by using a weapon. Primary weapons support two attachments; secondary weapons support one. These modify aspects like recoil, fire rate, magazine size, and accuracy.
In Battle Royale, players begin with only a Secondary weapon. After respawning, they return with both Primary and Secondary. Additional or upgraded weapons can be looted during the match.
Power Weapons spawn periodically in core game modes, often at marked locations. These limited-ammo weapons offer superior firepower and map control but cannot be customized or equipped in loadouts.
Unlocking
Weapons are unlocked through player progression and experience. Not all weapons are available from the start.
Once unlocked, a weapon becomes available for loadout selection and can begin earning Weapon XP. Weapons gain XP regardless of how they're obtained, whether equipped through loadouts, looted in Battle Royale, or picked up from fallen enemies during a match.
Each weapon has its own progression and does not share it with other weapons, even within the same class.
Weapon availability and progression are not tied to faction selection.
Mastery
Weapon mastery cosmetics are earned in three progressive tiers:
- Carbon - Unlocked by maxing out a weapon’s level (Level 10 for Primary, Level 7 for Secondary), then getting kill milestones (250 for Primary, 125 for Secondary).
- Gold - Unlocked by completing a challenge unique to that weapon's class.
- Proelium - Awarded faction-wide by unlocking at least 6 Gold skins within a single faction, granting Proelium for all of that faction’s weapons.
Mastery camos are cosmetic-only and showcase a player's long-term skill and dedication with specific weapons.

Note: Weapons can be equipped in any loadout regardless of faction. Faction groupings reflect visual themes, naming conventions, and lore identity rather than gameplay restrictions.
